Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
(1 John 4:1 (NIV))

I realize that I recently used this passage, but some things are worth repeating!

What do you believe about things in the world right now?

Do you let someone else tell you what to believe, or do you test everything to see if it is true? Do you think that humanity can solve all of our problems or do you think that this type of an attitude is wrong?

What about when things get worse and some man claims that he has all of the answers and he professes himself to be greater than Jesus? In fact, didn't someone recently make that claim? Do you recognize these claims as false prophets? Do you possess the faith to be able to discern the truth from the lies of the enemy?

Do you know how to recognize the Spirit of God?

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
(1 John 4:2-3 (NIV))

Life is hard in this sinful, fallen world, and it is getting more and more difficult to be able to tell the truth from the lies. Artificial Intelligence, deep fakes and false prophets are making it more difficult to discern the truth.

We must prepare!

We must be ready for battle!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
(Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV))

Are you trained and ready for battle?

Are you a discerning person?
