Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
(Psalm 150:6 (NIV))

Everyone knows this passage, but how many people actually follow through with what we are commanded to do?

How many people keep silent?

What did Jesus have to say about the silence?

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
(Luke 19:37-40 (NIV))

Are you letting the stones out praise you? The stones, just like each of us, are a part of creation. We were made to glorify the Lord. Even the heavens sing out His praise.

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
(Psalm 19:1 (NIV))

If all of creation sings out His praise, are you singing?

Think about that question?

You may think that you don't have a good voice.

Does the passage say let everyone who can sing well praise the Lord?

You may think that you are too self conscious.

Does the passage say that everyone who is confident praise the Lord.

It clearly says everyone who has breath praise the Lord.

Do you still have breath?
