Arise, O LORD, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.
(Psalms 9:19 (NIV))
With the Easter celebration of the Resurrection coming this Sunday, let's take a look at what David was saying.
Jesus arose from the dead just as David has written.
If man represents death, then death has not triumphed. It is through man's sin that we are doomed to sin and death without Jesus. But, Jesus overcame man. He overcame man's sin that brought death into the world.
Through Jesus, we have a Savior, a "Big Brother" sitting at God's right hand and interceding for us. It is true that we must call on Jesus as our Lord and Savior in order to receive the "gift" and those who do not will be judged by Jesus. We overlook the fact that He does not wish to judge, he wishes to offer grace and mercy.
JESUS LIVES!!!
Our sins have been forgiven!
HE IS ALIVE!!!
There is no other way than by the Blood and the Name of Jesus!
Jesus has triumphed over sin and death!
