Where do you find comfort and solace?

Do you, like far too many people in this sinful, fallen world, turn to your favorite sin? Do you drown yourself in alcohol or drugs? Perhaps you dive headfirst into being a workaholic. Perhaps you lash out at everyone in an attempt to distract people from the fact that you need something in your life that you don't know how to find.

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
(1 Corinthians 6:11 (NIV))

Did you catch the first words of this passage?

That is what some of you were!

If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you no longer need to turn to the things of this world, for they cannot provide deliverance, refuge, or salvation. They can only distract you with sin!

Jesus is the only way for He fulfills everything that David wrote about in Psalm 18. There is no other name. There is no other hope. There is no other power in heaven or earth who can provide what the Lord offers to all who call upon the name of Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

Have you placed your trust in the Lord?
