Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure;
     I am clean and without sin"?
(Proverbs 20:9 (NIV))

When you lay your head down at night, do you arrogantly think that you had another perfect day?

Let that question sink in for a minute as you take a long, hard look at just the last twenty-four hours.

Now take a look at what is written in Paul's letter to the Romans.

As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
     there is no one who understands;
     there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
     they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
     not even one."
(Romans 3:10-12 (NIV))

Do you see the correlation between what was written in Proverbs and what was written in Romans?

It is time that we recognize that one infallible truth also applies to each of us.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(Romans 3:23 (NIV))

It is time to stop and repent. It is time to open our hearts and prepare the way for the Lord.
