"There is no peace," says the Lord, "for the wicked."
(Isaiah 48:22 (NIV))
Are you a wicked person?
I am sure that you have never thought of yourself as wicked, but it is not up to you and I to decide. We are held accountable to a higher standard than our own self reflections. We must look at ourselves in accordance with the glory of God.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(Romans 3:23 (NIV))
Based on that, we can safely draw the conclusion that all are wicked, and yes, that includes you and I.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23 (NIV))
To paraphrase, the wages of wickedness is death!
Think about that.
Are you at peace with death?
Do you want to have the assurance of true peace and life?
It's as easy as ABC.
A is for admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
B is for believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Him from the dead.
C is for call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:7 (ESV))
Do you have peace?
