Be Still . . .
Devotionals for Daily Living ©
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
(Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV))
I realize that I have used this passage several times in the last year, but with everything happening in the world today, we need to constantly take a look at the condition of our hearts!
Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?
If you have made this profession of faith, then you should have a new heart. However, too many people simply profess with lip service and not true faith.
What is the difference?
Lip service is saying the correct thing for the audience and not truly meaning it. Lip service does what will get the biggest accolades from others, while true faith does what Jesus desires regardless of the consequences from others.
Which do you have?
I realize that is a loaded question, but it is a question that each of us need to answer truthfully for our eternal salvation depends upon the answer. Our truthful answer will reflect what is in our hearts.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:21 (NIV))
Where do you find your heart?
Is it still full of sinful desires or has it been created anew with a new spirit?
What is the condition of your heart?
