Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16 (NIV))
Do you possess this kind of confidence?
I'm going to ask you a very simple question, but I don't want you to give yourself a very simple answer.
Why do you possess this kind of confidence?
I could spend a lot of time reflecting on the reasons, but I think that it is more important for you to come to the knowledge yourself, for each of us have had a different path to faith. Each of us have had a different path to the realization that Jesus is Lord. We all reflect on and understand the same truths, but each of us has walked a different path in coming to that realization.
It all starts here.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
(Romans 3:23 (NIV))
Yes, that means you!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
(John 3:16-18 (NIV))
God's grace came down to us If you have professed a faith in Jesus, then you should be confident in approaching His throne because of your faith.
Are you confident in your faith?
