Be Still . . .
Devotionals for Daily Living ©
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
(Galatians 2:20 (NIV))
As a nation, we just celebrated our 250th independence anniversary.
I do admit that it something to be proud of, but we must not forget that our freedom does not give us the right to sin, especially if we profess a faith in Jesus. Everything that we do must be measured in relation to His righteousness. If it falls short, should we continue?
We should not!
We are to live in such a way that others see Jesus living through us.
Is that what others see when they see you?
Now that the celebrations are over, what does your life reflect? Do we see ourselves as ambassadors sharing the greatest freedom to ever be offered, or do we see ourselves as citizens of the USA and no other duty to God's creation? Think about that and answer the following question.
Which freedom means more to you?
Physical freedoms that can be lost through the actions of man or eternal freedoms that are based on the promises of God?
I know what I long for! I know what I live for!
What do you live for?
