Be Still . . .

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV))
What lives in you?
Are you so full of the sinful world that it rules over everything that you do? Do you treasure the things of this sinful, fallen world?
If that is the case, I want you to think about something.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:21 (NIV))
Is it time to take a serious look at your priorities? Is it time to recognize that the words quoted from 1 Corinthians can be true for you as well?
Just because we live in a sinful, fallen world doesn't mean that we have to partake of the sin. We have an amazing option that allows us to overcome this world.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
(John 3:16-18 (NIV))
Do you believe?
If you believe, then you must know the full extent of what you believe.
What do you truly know?
