Be Still . . .
Devotionals for Daily Living ©
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
(John 16:13 (NIV))
Are you willing to be guided?
Before you say "Yes," think about this.
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but whoever hates correction is stupid.
(Proverbs 12:1 (NIV))
Guidance implies correction!
Are you willing to admit that you have made mistakes and that you need to learn, that you need to be corrected?
Think about that with this in mind. If you have professed a faith in Jesus, then you should be listening to the Holy Spirit. You should be listening to the Helper that Jesus promised He would send.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
(John 14:26 (ESV))
Are you listening? Are you willing to accept guidance and correction? Are you will to humble yourself and walk in His light?
Each of us have a choice. We can be guided by Jesus and the Holy Spirit into all truth, or we can follow the prince of the world.
Who is guiding you?
