My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

Sometimes I wonder if Jesus does anything besides intervening for our sins.

Think about that!

If you are like me, you are not perfect.

How many times a day does Jesus intervene for you? I know that for me, it is far more than I care to count.

How many people call upon Jesus as Lord and Savior? Multiply that by the number of times He intervenes for one of us and you see why I wonder if He does anything else.

No matter how many times that we may sin, Jesus is there speaking to the Father in our defense. No matter how many times we slip up, He never does. He is faithful.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
(2 Thessalonians 3:2 (NIV))

if we are faithless,
     he will remain faithful,
     for he cannot disown himself.
(2 Timothy 2:13 (NIV))

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
(1 John 1:9 (NIV))

I know that I keep Him busy!

I also know that He is doing a good work in me and one day He will complete it. Until that day, I rely on His promises.

I know that even when I am faithless, He is faithful.
