I saw something tonight that reminded me that false teachings abound.

Deception is everywhere!

We are in a time when we need to know God and His Word so that we do not fall prey to the lies of the enemy. We must not turn here and there in search of what we already have. We simply need to be able to recognize God's truth and turn away the lies and the deception.

At that time if anyone says to you, `Look, here is the Christ!' or, `There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.
(Matthew 24:23-24 (NIV))

How do you get to where you cannot be deceived?

You must spend time with God and within God's Word!

We must be able to discern God's truth from the lies of the enemy. We must be able to know the difference between God's truth and something that sounds true. We must be able to recognize those who live deceptively.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
(2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NIV))

Are you able to tell the difference?

Are you able to reject the deceptions when they confront you?

Do you truly know God's truth?
