Therefore rejoice, you heavens
     and you who dwell in them!
  But woe to the earth and the sea,
     because the devil has gone down to you!
  He is filled with fury,
     because he knows that his time is short.

The devil's time is short and he knows it!

He is lashing out at those whom the Lord has called. He is lashing out at those who have answered that call.

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
(Revelation 12:17 (NIV))

If you have professed a faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are one of the offspring. Are you obeying God's commandments and holding fast to the testimony of Jesus?

Are you experiencing his fury?

We must stand firm in our faith, but we must do more than passively stand. We must be prepared for spiritual warfare. We must be prepared to face the devil's fury.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
(Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV))

Are you armored up and fully prepared to resist the devil's fury?

We must live our lives totally dedicated to Jesus. We must live our lives in constant prayer. We must live our lives in humility and obedience, and we must live our lives knowing that if God is for us then who can be against us.

We must fight the good fight!

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
(1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV))
